Panthers recall D Cullimore from Rochester

Nov 9, 2007 - 6:16 PM SUNRISE, Florida (Ticker) -- The Florida Panthers on Friday recalled defenseman Jassen Cullimore from Rochester of the American Hockey League.

After signing a one-year deal with the Panthers on October 26, Cullimore was assigned to Rochester for a two-week conditioning stint. He played in three games with the Americans, recording an assist with a plus-one rating.

Last season, the 6-5, 245-pound Cullimore played in 65 games with the Chicago Blackhawks, scoring one goal and collecting six assists.

Cullimore, 34, has played in 643 career games with Vancouver, Montreal, Tampa Bay and Chicago, registering 21 goals and 59 assists.

To make room for Cullimore, the Panthers assigned right wing Anthony Stewart to Rochester. Stewart, 22, has appeared in six games with the Panthers this season without recording a point.
