Barkov, Eriksson, Kopitar are Lady Byng finalists
Apr 30, 2016 - 8:39 PM NEW YORK (AP) Florida's Aleksander Barkov, Boston's Loui Eriksson and Los Angeles' Anze Kopitar are the finalists for Lady Byng Memorial Trophy as the NHL player who exhibited the best type of sportsmanship and gentlemanly conduct combined with a high standard of playing ability.Members of the Professional Hockey Writers Association submitted ballots at the end of the regular season, with the top three designated finalists Saturday. The winner will be announced June 22 during the NHL Awards in Las Vegas.
Barkov had a career-high 28 goals, 31 assists and 59 points and had only eight penalty minutes in 66 games. Eriksson had 30 goals, 33 assists and 12 penalty minutes in 82 games. Kopitar had 25 goals, 49 assists and 16 penalty minutes in 81 games.
