Sharks sign F Goodrow to two-year deal

Aug 7, 2017 - 10:06 PM San Jose Sharks forward Barclay Goodrow signed a two-year contract, the team announced on Monday.

Financial terms were not disclosed for Goodrow, who recorded a team-leading 25 goals to go along with 20 assists in 61 games last season with the San Jose Barracuda of the American Hockey League.

"Barclay played a key role in the success of the Barracuda last season and we feel he took a step forward in his development," Sharks assistant general manager and Barracuda GM Joe Will said. "He took on more of a leadership role with the Barracuda and we look forward to him competing for a spot in the NHL this season."

Goodrow notched an assist in three games with the Sharks last season.

The 24-year-old Toronto native recorded four goals -- including two game-winning tallies -- and 12 assists in 77 career contests with the Sharks over the past three seasons.
