Sabres agree to two-year deal with C Girgensons
Aug 17, 2017 - 10:57 PM The Buffalo Sabres agreed to a two-year contract extension with center Zemgus Girgensons on Thursday.The team announced the contract holds an annual average value of $1.6 million.
Girgensons wrote in a social media post: "Very excited to be back in Buffalo for two more years! Looking forward to the upcoming season"
Girgensons signed a one-year extension last September and totaled seven goals and 16 points in a career-high 75 games. Since being drafted by Buffalo in the first round of the 2012 draft, the 23-year-old native of Latvia has 37 goals and 86 points in 277 games.
