D Francois Beauchemin returns to Anaheim Ducks for 3rd time

Aug 21, 2017 - 7:43 PM ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) — Defenseman Francois Beauchemin has returned to the Anaheim Ducks for a third stint, agreeing to a one-year contract. The Ducks announced the deal Monday. Beauchemin won the Stanley Cup in 2007 during his first tenure with Anaheim from 2005-09. After leaving for Toronto as a free agent, he returned to Anaheim in a trade in February 2011. He was a key player on the Ducks' blue line during their run to the 2015 Western Conference finals, but left for Colorado as a free agent that summer. He played in all but one game over the past two seasons with the Avalanche, who bought out the last year of his contract in June. The 37-year-old Beauchemin has 73 goals and 198 assists in 836 career NHL games.
