Flames sign F Bennett to two-year deal

Sep 7, 2017 - 4:03 AM Restricted free agent forward Sam Bennett signed a two-year, $3.9 million contract with the Calgary Flames on Wednesday.

Bennett recorded 13 goals and as many assists to go along with 75 penalty minutes in 81 games last season.

The 21-year-old Ontario native also tallied twice in four playoff games last season for the Flames, who are swept by the Pacific Division champion Anaheim Ducks in the first round.

Selected with the fourth overall pick of the 2014 draft, Bennett has collected 31 goals, 32 assists and 112 penalty minutes in 159 career contests with Calgary.
