Veteran F Parenteau accepts tryout with Red Wings
Sep 7, 2017 - 4:01 AM Forward P.A. Parenteau has accepted a professional tryout with the Detroit Red Wings, his agent Allan Walsh announced on Wednesday.Parenteau collected 13 goals, 15 assists and 35 penalty minutes in 67 games last season with the New Jersey Devils and Nashville Predators.
The 34-year-old Quebec native notched an assist in eight games with the Predators after being acquired at the trade deadline in exchange for a conditional sixth-round pick in the 2017 draft. He failed to record a point in five playoff games with Nashville in its run to the Stanley Cup Final.
Parenteau has recorded 114 goals, 182 assists and 342 penalty minutes in 491 career games with the Chicago Blackhawks, New York Rangers, New York Islanders, Colorado Avalanche, Montreal Canadiens, Toronto Maple Leafs, Devils and Predators.
