Panthers assign F Malgin to AHL
Oct 13, 2017 - 4:39 PM The Florida Panthers assigned forward Denis Malgin to the Springfield Thunderbirds of the American Hockey League on Friday.Malgin, 20, recorded one goal and two assists in three games with the Panthers during the preseason. In 2016-17, the native of Olten, Switzerland, appeared in 47 games with Florida, totaling 10 points (six goals, four assists). Malgin played in 15 games with Springfield last season and posted 12 points (three goals, nine assists).
The 5-foot-9, 177-pound Malgin was originally selected by the Panthers in the fourth round of the 2015 NHL draft.
