Matthews took a pass from William Nylander and scored 48 seconds into the extra session as Toronto snapped a 14-game losing streak against the Canadiens. "I was kind of contemplating changing, but I didn't want to give up a three-on-two," Matthews said. The goal was Matthews' fifth of the season.
