Blue Jackets D Carlsson lands on IR
Oct 16, 2017 - 12:26 AM The Columbus Blue Jackets retroactively placed defenseman Gabriel Carlsson on injured reserve and recalled defenseman Markus Nutivaara from AHL Cleveland on Sunday.Carlsson, 20, who is day-to-day with an upper-body injury sustained on Friday against the New York Rangers, is eligible to come off IR on Oct. 21. He recorded an assist in four games this season, and he has two assists in six career NHL games.
Nutivaara, 23, has two goals and five assists and a plus-7 rating in 66 games with the Blue Jackets last season. He was Columbus' seventh-round pick in the 2015 draft.
