Jets place F Perreault on IR

Oct 16, 2017 - 5:51 PM The Winnipeg Jets placed forward Mathieu Perreault on injured reserve Monday with a lower-body injury.

Perreault exited in the third period of Saturday night's 2-1 win over the Carolina Hurricanes. He played 13:11 before leaving the game.

Perreault, 29, has one goal, two assists and four penalty minutes in five games this season.

In a corresponding move, the Jets recalled forward Kyle Connor from the Manitoba Moose of the American Hockey League.

Connor, 20, has five points (two goals, three assists) in four games for the Moose this season. He played his first pro season in 2016-17 and recorded two goals and three assists in 20 games for the Jets. The Shelby Township, Mich., native also skated in 52 games for the Moose last season, totaling 44 points, including a team-leading 25 goals.

Connor was selected by the Jets in the first round (17th overall) of the 2015 draft.
