NHL Note - New York Islanders Barzal, Mathew

Oct 20, 2017 - 8:25 AM C Mathew Barzal scored his first NHL goal in Thursday's 4-3 shootout victory over the Rangers. Barzal, the Islanders' first-round pick in 2015, stormed down the left wing around Rangers' Rick Nash and slipped the puck past goaltender Henrik Lundqvist. Barzal was denied a second goal when Lundqvist made two highlight-reel stops. "It's like, I'm happy I scored, but at the same time, I'm a little bit frustrated because I thought I could've had a couple more," Barzal said.
