Flames F Jagr to return vs. Canucks

Nov 7, 2017 - 10:52 PM Calgary Flames forward Jaromir Jagr will return to the ice for Tuesday's game versus the visiting Vancouver Canucks, coach Glen Gulutzan announced.

Jagr skated on a line with Mark Jankowski and Sam Bennett during the Flames' morning skate on Tuesday. The 45-year-old has been sidelined since sustaining a lower-body injury in the first period of Calgary's 4-2 loss to the Minnesota Wild on Oct. 22.

Jagr has two assists in five games since signing as a free agent with Calgary (8-6-0) at the end of training camp. The Flames are Jagr's ninth NHL team.

Jagr is 51 games away from becoming the NHL's all-time leader in games played, currently held by Gordie Howe with 1,767. Jagr is second in career points behind Wayne Gretzky (2,857) with 1,916, including 765 goals.

Also on Tuesday, the Flames assigned fellow forward Tanner Glass to Stockton of the American Hockey League.

Signed to a one-year deal, Glass did not notch a point and recorded five penalty minutes in seven games this season with the Flames.

Glass collected one goal, one assist and 17 penalty minutes in 11 games last season with the New York Rangers. The 33-year-old Saskatchewan native has recorded 24 goals, 45 assists and 644 penalty minutes in 518 career games with Florida Panthers, Canucks, Winnipeg Jets, Pittsburgh Penguins, Rangers and Flames.
