Wild recall G Svedberg

Nov 8, 2017 - 6:16 PM The Minnesota Wild recalled goaltender Niklas Svedberg on Wednesday from the Iowa Wild of the American Hockey League under emergency conditions.

Svedberg, 28, is 3-6-1 with a 2.84 goals-against average, .904 save percentage and one shutout in 10 games with Iowa this season. He posted a 14-17-12 record with a 2.99 goals-against average, an .897 save percentage and one shutout in 48 games with Salavat Yulaev of the Kontinental Hockey League in 2016-17.

The 6-foot-1, 168-pound native of Sollentuna, Sweden, is 8-5-1 with a 2.31 goals-against average, .920 save percentage and two shutouts in 19 career NHL games in parts of two seasons with the Boston Bruins (2013-15).

Svedberg was signed to a one-year, two-way contract by Minnesota on July 1.
