Panthers recall F Haapala
Nov 22, 2017 - 4:02 PM The Florida Panthers recalled forward Henrik Haapala from the Springfield Thunderbirds of the American Hockey League on Wednesday.Haapala, 23, has appeared in 11 games with Springfield, recording seven points (two goals, five assists).
The 5-foot-9, 165-pound native of Lempaala, Finland, played in 51 games with Tampere Tappara (Liiga) during the 2016-17 season, totaling 60 points (15 goals, 45 assists). He won his second consecutive Liiga Championship, posting nine points (two goals, seven assists) in 16 playoffs games.
Haapala, who was undrafted, was signed as a free agent by Florida on June 1.
