Coyotes call up F Merkley from AHL
Dec 16, 2017 - 12:06 AM The Arizona Coyotes recalled forward Nick Merkley from Tucson of the American Hockey League, the team announced Friday.A first-round draft pick of Arizona in 2015, Merkley has appeared in 20 games with Tucson, scoring 12 goals and assisting on 12 others.
The 20-year-old Merkley is second on the Roadrunners in scoring and second among AHL rookies in points. He has notched at least one point in 14 of his 20 games.
The Calgary native averaged more than a point per game in the Western Hockey League, notching 85 goals and 259 points in 245 contests.
