The Song of the Night: You know, I really should educate myself more on Norma Jean. The pioneering metalcore band that continues to pump out slappers, bangers, ragers, and other descriptions of songs. I might as well begin with perhaps their most famous song, their first single, and their first music video. Back when the legendary Josh Scogin was in the band on the recording, but left the group to form the also legendary band, The Chariot, before the linked video. The part from 2:52 to 3:13 is one that some of the People Who Matter probably commit to memory as a catchphrase. The song: “Memphis Will Be Laid to Waste” from 2002’s Bless the Martyr and Kiss the Child.
