For the 27th race of the 2022 season, NASCAR travels to Darlington. The 1.366-mile Darlington Raceway is a rather long circuit compared to most weeks. Kyle Larson is the betting favorite for the Cook Out Southern 500, according to oddsmakers, but can a Toyota or a Ford steal the victory?

Top 3: Martin Truex Jr. | +290 at DraftKings Sportsbook

Winning at this track on Mother’s Day last year, Truex Jr. knows his way around Darlington better than most. Over the past eight stages here, he’s also won four of them, as well as leading in 196 laps in the 2020 edition.

While a win would prove difficult, given his starting position, I expect a high finish.
