NASCAR Martinsville Xfinity 500 Betting Odds, Picks & Predictions (10/30)

The Martinsville race this weekend sets the stage for the season finale as the NASCAR playoff field is ready to be reduced to the Championship 4.

The Xfinity 500 odds favor Chase Elliott once again, who has won the most races this season on the circuit and is expected to add another Cup Series championship to his 2020 title.  Still trailing Ross Chastain and Joey Logano this season, can he gain some ground on them with a high finish here?

Let’s take a closer look at a few drivers I expect to find success this week at Martinsville.

NASCAR Martinsville Xfinity 500

Top 3: Chase Elliott | +200 at DraftKings Sportsbook

Three of the last four races at Martinsville and five of the last eight fall races there have been won by Hendrick Motorsports. Their leader, Chase Elliott, won the pole here in the spring and dominated the first two stages before a pit road infraction forced him to finish outside of the top five.

Elliott won the 2020 Fall race to earn a spot in the Championship 4 here and additionally has three Top 2 finishes and four Top 5 finishes in his last seven Martinsville races.

Despite finishing 32nd, 1st, 20th, 21st, and 14th, respectively, in his past five races, he has only had two Top 10 finishes in his last eight races. Nevertheless, he has won throughout this span, and expectations are that he will win again on Sunday. While I’m not so confident he gets the checkered flag, I do like a high finish.

Top 5: Martin Truex Jr. | +130 at DraftKings Sportsbook

Three of the last six Martinsville races have been won by him Truex Jr., and that’s too much success to pass on here. The last two fall races, where he finished fourth in 2019 and led 129 laps in 2020, were the ones he failed to win. Truex is coming off a race he had a chance to win last week and has finished in the Top-5 seven times in his last ten attempts at the Virginia circuit.
