Eels sign Souths NRL forward Nathan Brown
Sep 16, 2016 - 6:32 AM Parramatta have signed forward Nathan Brown from South Sydney on a two-year deal.Brown's signature continues moves by the Eels to shore up their playing roster since Max Donnelly's appointment as interim boss in July.
"Nathan had a breakthrough year in 2016 with selection in City Origin and was a strong performer in the back half of the season," Eels coach Brad Arthur said.
"The good news for us is that Nathan's best years as an NRL forward are ahead of him and I believe he can provide a strong contribution to the club in 2017 and beyond."
Brown joins Manly's Siosaia Vave as an acquisition for 2017.
The Eels also re-signed star playmaker Corey Norman last month on a new three-year deal worth more than $2 million after the NSW government moved to break up Parramatta's board.
