Panthers re-sign Kikau until end of 2019
Apr 16, 2017 - 6:32 AM Penrith continue to tie down their current squad for the long haul after announcing the re-signing of promising prop Viliame Kikau until the end of the 2019 NRL season.Kikau's contract extension comes just a week after the club locked in Dean Whare and Dallin Watene-Zelezniak on long-term deals, with Whare signed for another five years.
Kikau's re-commitment comes after the 22-year-old scored a try on debut in a win over the Wests Tigers in round two.
"I'm really excited to re-commit to the club and I'm very thankful for the Panthers giving me this opportunity. I know there are challenges ahead but I am looking forward to them," Kikau said.
The Panthers now have a remarkable 17 players on the books until the end of 2019.
The Fijian native's re-signing now leaves fringe players Sitelaki Akauola, Sione Katoa, and Michael Oldfield as the only players in the NRL squad that are without a contract in 2018.
