Revolution exact revenge on Dynamo with close victory
May 20, 2007 - 2:58 AM HOUSTON (Ticker) -- Shalrie Joseph provided the scoring for the New England Revolution, who got a measure of revenge against the Houston Dynamo with a 1-0 victory on Saturday night. The Revolution fared better this time around than they did on November 12 when the club suffered a heartbreaking, 4-3 defeat on penalty kicks against the Dynamo in the 2006 MLS Cup - the last meeting between the clubs.
But this season is a different story for New England, which holds the league's best record (5-1-2) and has scored the most goals with 15.
Joseph continued the Revolution's stellar play Saturday, netting an unassisted tally in the ninth minute for the lone score of the contest. New England fired just three total shots on goal - compared to 11 for Houston - but capitalized on its rare scoring chance.
