Varane out of Champions League final
May 22, 2016 - 4:13 PM Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane is set to miss the Champions League final after suffering a pulled hamstring, the club says.According to media reports on Sunday, the 23-year-old central defender will be out of action for around three weeks, which means he will miss Saturday's final against neighbours Atletico in Milan.
Varane should be fit in time to play for France at Euro 2016, which starts June 10.
He helped Real to win the 2014 Champions final against Atletico, stepping in to cover for injured veteran Pepe.
This year, Pepe will have to cover for Varane, linking up with fellow veteran Sergio Ramos at the heart of the White defence.
