Glory part ways with Serbian Smiljanic
Feb 16, 2017 - 2:26 AM Perth Glory have parted ways with Milan Smiljanic, allowing the Serbian midfielder to explore his options in Asia.Smiljanic, who previously played for Belgrade powerhouse FK Partizan and La Liga side Espanyol, notched 15 games for Glory this season, 10 of which were starting berths.
But Glory chief executive Peter Filopoulos said Smiljanic was now keen to explore his options in Asia, and Perth wouldn't stand in his way.
Smiljanic, 30, failed to score a goal this season, and Glory have plenty of midfield depth to cover his absence.
Fifth-placed Perth are in hot form after crushing Adelaide 5-0 last week.
But their top-three hopes will be put to the test on Saturday night when they host the third-placed Roar at nib Stadium.
