No surprises here: Shock roll past Mystics

Jun 19, 2011 - 2:23 AM Tulsa, OK (Sports Network) - Ivory Latta scored a game-high 22 points and was 4-for-5 from the three-point arc in the second half to help the Tulsa Shock ease past the Washington Mystics, 77-59, for their first win of the season.

Sheryl Swoopes added 13 points for the Shock, who got 12 points from both Kayla Pedersen and Jennifer Lacy. Pedersen also had seven assists and seven rebounds.

Liz Cambage provided 10 points off the bench in the victory.

Marissa Coleman and Crystal Langhorne each scored 12 points for Washington, which shot just 33.8 percent from the field and had 16 turnovers. Karima Christmas added 11 points in the loss.

The Shock outscored the Mystics 51-27 in the second half, shooting a blazing 60 percent from the field and 7-of-9 from long range. Latta totaled 18 points during the second half to put the game away.
