Seattle downs Washington

Jul 3, 2011 - 11:40 PM Washington, DC (Sports Network) - Swin Cash poured in 19 points and grabbed seven rebounds to lead the Seattle Storm to a 73-63 victory over the Washington Mystics.

The defending WNBA champion Storm, playing its third game without reigning MVP Lauren Jackson, received 17 points from both Tanisha Wright and Sue Bird.

Victoria Dunlap paced the Mystics with 19 points and eight boards, while Matee Ajavon added 15 points and Nicky Anosike recorded a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds.

Seattle held a 35-26 lead at the half, thanks in large part to a defensive effort which limited the Mystics to 25.8 percent shooting.

The Storm cruised to victory, leading by as many as 14 points over the final 10 minutes of action.
