Sparks down road-weary Shock
Aug 10, 2011 - 6:43 AM Los Angeles, CA (Sports Network) - Ticha Penicheiro scored 23 points, grabbed seven rebounds and dished out seven assists, as the Los Angeles Sparks snapped a four-game home losing streak with a 71-66 victory over the Tulsa Shock.Tina Thompson and Natasha Lacy had 12 points apiece for the Sparks, who won at home for the first time since June 21 against New York.
Tiffany Jackson finished with 18 points and five rebounds for the Shock, who have lost 19 straight on the road since a 75-70 victory over the Silver Stars on July 16, 2010. They've lost 15 in a row overall.
Liz Cambage added 16 points and five boards off the bench for Tulsa, which is 0-10 since Teresa Edwards took over for Nolan Richardson. The Shock are 1-20 this season.
