Fever clinch No. 1 seed in East
Sep 8, 2011 - 1:29 AM Indianapolis, IN (Sports Network) - Katie Douglas scored 21 points and Tamika Catchings added 17 points and 10 boards, as the Indiana Fever clinched the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference playoffs with a 87-69 win over the Washington Mystics.Tammy Sutton-Brown and Erin Phillips added 15 and 13 points, respectively, for the Fever, who completed a season sweep of the Mystics and locked-up home court advantage throughout the East playoffs.
Crystal Langhorne paced Washington with 18 points and 15 boards. The Mystics have lost a season-high eight straight road games.
The Fever trailed 37-36 at the half, but used 66.7 percent shooting to reel off a 28-point third quarter, then held the Mystics to 11 points on 16.7 percent shooting over the final 10 minutes to secure the win.
