Ogwumike leads Sparks over Mercury
Jun 9, 2012 - 5:41 AM Los Angeles, CA (Sports Network) - Nneka Ogwumike had 25 points and 12 rebounds to give the Los Angeles Sparks a 90-74 win over the Phoenix Mercury.Candace Parker added 23 points and 10 boards, DeLisha Milton-Jones had 21 points and Kristi Toliver added 14 points and nine assists for the Sparks, who have won four straight following their only loss of the season.
Charde Houston had 22 points, DeWanna Bonner added 18 points and six boards while Candice Dupree donated 13 points and five rebounds for the Mercury, who were coming off a win against Tulsa last Sunday.
The Sparks held a 43-28 lead at halftime and never trailed after the mid-point of the first quarter.
