Robinson, Silver Stars hand Sky first loss
Jun 8, 2013 - 2:13 AM San Antonio, TX (Sports Network) - Danielle Robinson poured in a game-high 18 points to go with seven assists as the San Antonio Silver Stars downed the Chicago Sky, 81-69, Friday at AT&T Center.Jia Perkins and Danielle Adams each added 13 points, while DeLisha Milton- Jones chipped in 10 points, five rebounds and four assists for the Silver Stars, who have won two straight since dropping their season opener.
Star rookie Elena Delle Donne led Chicago with 17 points and Allie Quigley donated 14 points off the bench for the Sky, who had won their first three games of the season.
The Silver Stars led 22-18 after one quarter and pushed the margin as high as 10 in the second before taking a 44-36 cushion into the break.
After Chicago's Tamera Young opened the third with a jumper, San Antonio ripped off a 10-0 surge to push the lead to 54-38.
Chicago got as close as seven in the fourth quarter, but failed to score a point over the final 4:11 of the contest.
