Delle Donne lifts Sky over Silver Stars
Jun 10, 2013 - 12:51 AM Rosemont, IL (Sports Network) - Rookie Elena Delle Donne scored a career-high 23 points, including two free-throws with 1.8 seconds left, to give the Chicago Sky a 72-70 win over the San Antonio Silver Stars on Sunday night.Sylvia Fowles added 15 points and 16 rebounds for the Sky, who bounced back from an 81-69 loss to the Silver Stars on Friday. Courtney Vandersloot tallied 12 points and five assists.
Jia Perkins ended with 20 points and five boards for the Silver Stars, who trailed by as many as 15 points in the second quarter.
Perkins' 3-pointer with 4.3 seconds to play tied the game at 70. Shameka Christon then fouled Delle Donne, who made the game-winning foul shots.
