Mercury take out Sun
Sep 1, 2013 - 4:36 AM Phoenix, AZ (Sports Network) - DeWanna Bonner and Candice Dupree each had 22 points as the Phoenix Mercury took a 76-68 victory over the Connecticut Sun on Saturday.Dupree added nine rebounds while Diana Taurasi had 10 points, eight assists and seven rebounds for the Mercury, who have won five of their last seven.
Tina Charles had 16 points and 13 rebounds and Tan White gave 14 points for the Sun, who have lost their last seven games.
The game was tied at 56-all heading to the fourth quarter, but Bonner's 3- pointer with 4:23 to play gave Phoenix the lead for good as the team scored 14 straight points to pull away.
