Lynx down Stars to remain unbeaten
May 31, 2014 - 3:01 AM Minneapolis, MN (SportsNetwork.com) - Maya Moore totaled a game-best 26 points to go with nine rebounds as Minnesota maintained its unblemished record with an 88-72 victory over San Antonio on Friday.Lindsay Whalen added 19 points and Damiris Dantas contributed 17 for the Lynx, who have won all six of their games thus far. Seimone Augustus poured in 14 with five boards.
The Stars (3-3) were led by Jia Perkins' 15 points and seven rebounds, with Danielle Adams and Danielle Robinson posting 11 apiece in defeat.
San Antonio led by as many as six, 35-29, late in the first half, but Minnesota completely stole momentum thanks to a 38-11 run which left the Lynx ahead 67-46 after a runner from Augustus with 1:20 left in the third.
The visitors never reduced their deficit below double digits for the remainder of the contest.
