Storm take down Stars
Jun 14, 2014 - 2:41 AM San Antonio, TX (SportsNetwork.com) - Camille Little and Tanisha Wright each provided 13 points to help the Seattle Storm to a 79-72 win over the San Antonio Stars on Friday.Temeka Johnson also had 13 points off the bench, while Crystal Langhorne and Shekinna Sticklen each added 10 points in the win.
Danielle Adams paced the Stars with 18 points off the bench and Danielle Robinson netted 14 points.
Seattle came out fast to the tune of a 21-12 lead after one quarter of play. Jenne O'Hea then scored the first eight points of the second to help the visitors to a 29-12 margin.
Langhorne and Wright each converted three-point plays to cap the scoring in the first half with the Storm holding a 43-28 lead.
Seattle stretched the margin to 19 after three quarters before San Antonio made a late run in the final quarter, cutting it to as little as three after a Kayla McBride 3-pointer with over two minutes to go.
Johnson and Langhorne each supplied crucial buckets in the closing minutes as the Storm held on.
