Mystics end slide, down Stars
Jun 24, 2014 - 6:54 PM San Antonio, TX (SportsNetwork.com) - Ivory Latta and Tierra Ruffin-Pratt each scored 15 points to lead the Washington Mystics over the San Antonio Stars 81-70 on Tuesday afternoon at AT&T Center.Emma Meesseman added 10 points, 13 rebounds and six assists for the Mystics, who ended a four-game slide and won for only the second time in nine games.
Kayla McBride ended with a game-high 17 points to lead the Stars, who had a three-game winning streak halted.
After leading just 60-58 early in the fourth quarter, the Mystics began to take control. Washington went on a 19-8 run to build a 13-point lead after Ruffin-Pratt drained a jumper with 1:54 remaining.
The Mystics cruised to the finish from there.
Danielle Robinson added 16 points for San Antonio.
