Fever rally in fourth to rout Sky

Jul 18, 2014 - 1:11 AM Indianapolis, IN (SportsNetwork.com) - Tamika Catchings scored 25 points with nine rebounds to lead the Indiana Fever to an 82-64 win over the Chicago Sky.

Briann January netted 14 points and Marissa Coleman tallied 12 for the Fever, who snapped a two-game skid and defeated the Sky for the 17th time in their last 19 attempts.

Chicago, meanwhile, playing without Elena Delle Donne for 13th game in its last 14 due to Lyme disease, has dropped six straight overall.

Allie Quigley paced the Sky with 17 points off the bench, while Sylvia Fowles recorded a 15-point, 11-rebound double-double in the setback.

The teams were tied at 21-apiece after the first quarter. The Fever, however, opened up a nice lead courtesy of a 10-0 run to begin the second that Erlana Larkins capped with a layup at 5:47.

Indiana shot 10-of-20 from the field in the second quarter and limited the Sky to just 4-for-13 shooting en route to a 45-31 lead at the break.

Indiana led by 15 with just over three minutes left in the third but Chicago ended the stanza on a 12-0 run to cut the deficit to 53-48.

That would be as close as the Sky would get, though. The Fever opened the fourth on an 11-0 run to push the lead back to double digits.
