Latta, Mystics top Dream

Jul 27, 2014 - 10:49 PM Washington, DC (SportsNetwork.com) - Ivory Latta scored a game-high 21 points to lead the Washington Mystics to a 77-67 victory over the slumping Atlanta Dream on Sunday.

Monique Currie had 12 points and five rebounds, while Kara Lawson and Tierra Ruffin-Pratt netted 14 and 13 points, respectively, off the bench for the Mystics, who won their fourth straight game and six of their last seven.

Sancho Lyttle tallied 19 points and eight rebounds and Angel McCoughtry and Tiffany Hayes each supplied 12 points for Atlanta, which dropped its fourth in a row.

Washington took a 39-38 advantage into the half, but Atlanta surged ahead with an 8-3 burst to take a 46-42 lead on a McCoughtry layup with 6:37 left in the third stanza.

Ruffin-Pratt fueled a 12-4 run to end the third with six points and her reverse layup made it a 61-54 game less than thirty seconds into the fourth. Washington held the lead the rest of the way.
