McCoughtry rallies Dream past Mystics
Jun 13, 2015 - 1:34 AM Washington, DC (SportsNetwork.com) - Angel McCoughtry scored 21 points with six rebounds to lead the Atlanta Dream to a 64-61 win over the Washington Mystics on Friday.Tiffany Hayes added 12 points and five boards for the Dream, who improved to 2-2 on the season.
Emma Meesseman gave 21 points and nine rebounds and Tayler Hill added 15 points for he Mystics, who lost for the first time in three games this season.
The Dream trailed by 11 at the start of the fourth quarter, but used an 11-3 surge at the start of the frame to get back into the contest.
McCoughtry moved the Dream in front for good with a 3-pointer with 27.9 seconds to play and gave the team some space after a Washington turnover by sinking a pair of free throws.
Ivory Latta missed a 3-point attempt near the buzzer to seal the outcome.
