East-leading Fever edge Silver Stars
Aug 17, 2011 - 2:37 AM San Antonio, TX (Sports Network) - Tamika Catchings scored 26 points to lead the Eastern Conference-leading Indiana Fever to a 65-63 win over the San Antonio Silver Stars.No other player reached double figures for the Fever, who have won eight of their last nine games. Shannon Bobbitt posted nine points and six rebounds off the bench for Indiana, which snapped a three-game losing streak in San Antonio.
Scholanda Robinson, Danielle Robinson and Jia Perkins each scored 10 points for the Silver Stars, who have lost six of eight. Sophia Young grabbed a game- high 13 rebounds in defeat.
