Moore, Lynx down Fever
Jun 23, 2014 - 1:40 AM Minneapolis, MN (SportsNetwork.com) - Maya Moore had 25 points and six rebounds and the Minnesota Lynx defeated the Indiana Fever, 83-77, on Sunday night.Lindsay Whalen and Seimone Augustus each netted 16 points for Minnesota, which has won two straight on the heels of a 2-4 stretch.
Karima Christmas donated 18 points to lead the Fever, who have dropped three of their last five following a four-game winning streak.
Indiana led 41-35 at the break, but the Lynx outscored the Fever 26-18 in the third and held a 61-59 edge heading into the fourth.
Two Shavonte Zellous free throws pulled Indiana within 78-75 with 1:08 left, but Moore converted a layup at the other end and a pair of Tan White foul shots increased the margin to 82-75 with 30 ticks remaining.
