Little carries Storm over Lynx
Jun 28, 2014 - 4:19 AM Seattle, WA (SportsNetwork.com) - Camille Little scored a career-high 31 points to boost the Seattle Storm to an 81-71 win over the Minnesota Lynx in the opener of a home-and-home set.Jenna O'Hea went 5-of-6 from beyond the arc for 15 points, while Sue Bird contributed 11 points and nine assists. Crystal Langhorne totaled 11 points and eight rebounds for Seattle, which bounced back from an eight-point loss at Los Angeles on Tuesday.
Maya Moore had 20 points and 10 rebounds to pace Minnesota, which won its previous two games. Damiris Dantas added 12 points and Lindsay Whalen 11 for the Lynx.
The Storm turned the ball over 16 times, leading to 22 Minnesota points, but Seattle held on thanks to 13 points in the final quarter from Little. Minnesota whittled a 14-point deficit in the fourth down to 73-67 following a Whalen jumper with three minutes left. Noelle Quinn stemmed the tide by sinking a jumper.
The teams will play Sunday night in Minneapolis.
