McCoughtry, Dream take down Fever

Jun 30, 2014 - 12:30 AM Indianapolis, IN (SportsNetwork.com) - Angel McCoughtry led all scorers with 20 points to help the Atlanta Dream to a 76-68 win over the Indiana Fever on Sunday.

Sancho Lyttle netted 16 points and Erika de Souza contributed a 12-point, 13- rebound double-double in the win.

Shavonte Zellous paced the Fever with 18 points, while Marissa Coleman and Natasha Howard added 10 points apiece.

Zellous capped a 7-0 Indiana run that gave the Fever a 68-65 lead with under four minutes left but the Dream ended the game on an 11-0 run.

McCoughtry followed a de Souza layup with a 3-pointer that gave the Dream the lead with just over two minutes left. Indiana went 0-for-4 from the field from there as Atlanta sealed it at the free throw line.

The score was tied 19-19 after the first quarter and the Dream took a 40-37 lead into the locker room at halftime.

Neither team could shake free in the third. Jasmine Thomas knocked down a 3- pointer with 30 seconds left to give Atlanta a 58-55 lead heading into the fourth.
