Mystics handle Shock
Jul 13, 2014 - 3:04 AM Tulsa, OK (SportsNetwork.com) - Emma Meesseman and Ivory Latta scored 15 points each in the Washington Mystics' 91-74 win over the Tulsa Shock on Saturday.Kara Lawson added 14 points for the Mystics, who have won two in a row since a three-game skid. Kia Vaughn tallied 12 points and 10 rebounds and Monique Currie recorded 11 points and 12 boards.
Glory Johnson ended with 20 points, 11 rebounds and three steals for the Shock, who have dropped four straight. Skylar Diggins had 16 points.
Washington pulled away early in the second quarter. Trailing 31-30, the Mystics used an 11-0 run to take a 10-point lead. The margin reached 13, 55-42, at the half.
Tulsa got within 62-57 late in the third, but the Mystics ended the frame on a 13-5 run. Washington led by as many as 20 in the fourth.
