Kizer helps Fever down Stars
Jul 27, 2014 - 2:40 AM San Antonio, TX (SportsNetwork.com) - Lynetta Kizer scored 16 points off the bench to lead the Indiana Fever in a 75-68 victory over the San Antonio Stars on Saturday.Shavonte Zellous had 14 points and Natasha Howard added 11 for the Fever, who had lost three of four coming into the game.
Becky Hammon had 18 points and Danielle Robinson scored 15 for the Stars, who have lost five of their past six games.
Trailing by seven to start the second quarter, the Fever found themselves down by nine later in the frame, but they closed the frame on a 16-4 run to take a 41-38 lead into the break.
The game was tied at 51-all heading into the fourth quarter, and Indiana used a 15-5 run to open the frame and build a 10-point lead.
San Antonio never got closer than six the rest of the game.
