Lynx down Sky for 11th straight win

Aug 8, 2014 - 3:17 AM Minneapolis, MN (SportsNetwork.com) - Maya Moore scored a team-high 17 points and grabbed five rebounds, and Minnesota scored the game's final 11 points to beat the Chicago Sky, 74-64.

Lindsay Whalen added 14 points, while Rebekkah Brunson contributed 10 points and six assists as the Lynx extended their winning streak to 11 games.

Allie Quigley came off the bench and led all scorers with 20 points for the Sky, who had a three-game winning streak broken.

The Lynx took an early lead and went up by as much as 12 before going into the half up 30-24.

Chicago started the third quarter with a 9-0 run to take its first lead of the game. Neither team could go ahead by more than three points through the end of the third and Minnesota knotted it up at 46-46 just seconds into the fourth.

After seven lead changes to start the fourth quarter, Moore hit a jump shot with 1:18 left, putting the Lynx ahead 65-64 and starting the 11-0 run that Minnesota took to the finish. Moore scored six during the spurt.
