Dream down Shock with big 2nd quarter
Aug 16, 2014 - 2:53 AM Atlanta, GA (SportsNetwork.com) - Erika de Souza scored 21 points and grabbed 12 rebounds as the Atlanta Dream beat the Tulsa Shock, 92-76.Sancho Lyttle added 17 points for the Dream, who won have back-to-back games after losing five in a row. Angel McCoughtry had 12 points and four assists off the bench in her first game since missing two in a row with tendinitis in her feet.
Skylar Diggins and Odyssey Sims were the only players in double figures for the Shock. Diggins finished with a game-high 24 points and Sims was right behind with 23.
After ending the first quarter ahead 23-19, the Dream went on a 14-2 run to start the second. They held the Shock to just six points in the quarter and took a commanding 47-25 lead into the break.
