When Prichard Colon and Terrel Williams met to kick off the PBC on NBC broadcast, only one was going to leave the ring with their undefeated record still intact. Colon controlled the action early from the outside but Williams began to come alive in the 4th round. The fight then turned testy in the 5th round, as Colon was docked 2 points for a low blow. Then, in the 7th round, a blow from Williams to the back of Colon's head sent a point back the other way and delayed the fight for several minutes. In the 9th round, Williams took control for good with a pair of knockdowns late in the round. After the 9th round of the 10-round bout, Colon's corner, mistakenly thinking the fight had ended, began to take Colon's gloves off.
