Ramos vs SantaMaria FULL FIGHT: May 28, 2022 | PBC on Showtime PPV

Sensational young star Jesús “Mono” Ramos protects his unbeaten record by defeating rugged super welterweight Luke Santamaría by way of unanimous decision in a 10-round showdown. The telecast also saw rising star Jesus “Mono” Ramos (19-0, 15 KOs) earn a unanimous decision over rugged battler Luke Santamaria (13-3-1, 7 KOs) by scores of 98-92 and 97-93 twice in their 10-round super welterweight attraction. The 21-year-old Ramos was able to impose his size advantage from the outset, pushing Santamaria backwards and forcing him to fight off the ropes for much of the fight. With the victory, Ramos was able to avenge his uncle Abel Ramos, who lost to Santamaria in February. “Yes of course it was important to avenge my uncle’s loss,” said Ramos. “It wasn’t the way we wanted to win, but I think it takes two to tango and tonight I was the one who wanted to fight. I’m not really satisfied. I could have done a lot better but like I said, it takes two to tango and tonight Santamaria didn’t...

Alexander vs SantaMaria FULL FIGHT: August 7, 2021 | PBC on FOX

(Aug. 7, 2021) Luke Santamaria notches a career victory by outpointing former champ Devon Alexander Luke Santamaria, the 23-year-old from Garden Grove, Ca., did not start the way he wanted, but he finished the way he needed against former two-division champion Devon Alexander. Behind effective counter punching and a solid body attack, Santamaria (12-2-1, 7 KOs) tallied the biggest victory of his career with a unanimous 10-round decision in a super welterweightweight bout over 34-year-old Alexander. Judges Mike Fitzgerald and Patrick Morley both had it 98-92 for Santamaria, while judge Tim Taggart had it slightly closer at 97-93. Alexander, the southpaw from St. Louis, Mo., had not been in the ring since he was stopped in the sixth round by Ivan Redkach in June 2019. “I want to thank Devon for giving me this opportunity,” Santamaria said. “He’s a great fighter. I got the opportunity and I showed up again. My legs were the key for me, he was trying to catch me with the left and I...

Maestre vs Fox FULL FIGHT: August7. 2021 | PBC on FOX

(Aug. 7. 2021) Unbeaten welterweight and two-time Venezuelan Olympian Gabriel Maestre defeats Mykal Fox with a unanimous decision victory and captures the Interim WBA World Welterweight Title. Gabriel Maestre made a worthy sacrifice. He bypassed a shot in Tokyo, Japan, for Olympic gold with the thought that he would be fighting 5-foot-10 Canadian southpaw Cody Crowley. But when Crowley fell out due to COVID-19, another fighter had to be looked up to replace him. The 5-10½ Maestre didn’t think he would be looking up, and up, and up at towering 6-3½ southpaw Mykal Fox for a chance at the interim WBA world welterweight championship. The 34-year-old Maestre was a two-time Olympian for Venezuela. On a week’s notice, Fox, 25, took the fight looking to rebound from a 10-round decision loss in August 2020 to Luke Santamaria, who beat Devon Alexander earlier in the night. Judges David Singh, Gloria Martinez and John Mariano saw a different fight than many at ringside saw. Maestre was awa...

Vasquez vs Martinez FULL FIGHT: January 23, 2016 - PBC on FOX

#SammyVasquez fought #AronMartinez in what was scheduled as 12RD welterweight bout. All they needed was 6RDs for a winner's hand to be raised. #VasquezMartinez An Army National Guard veteran who suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder, Sammy Vasquez (21-0, 15 KOs) believes boxing is therapeutic for him, that it calms him in a way. True to his words, Vasquez was a poised, relaxed presence as the fast-rising 147-pounder dismantled an overwhelmed Aron Martinez (20-5-1, 4 KOs) at Los Angeles’ Staples Center on Saturday, winning by sixth-round TKO. With far superior hand speed and power, Vasquez completely controlled both the pace of the fight and the range at which it took place. The 29-year-old southpaw peppered Martinez with jabs early, then plastered him with straight left hands at will. Martinez is normally a high-energy, come-forward mauler who likes to shrink the distance between he and his opponent, and hammer away on the inside. But the 34-year-old Mexican was the oppo...
