On this day in 2014, former UFC featherweight and lightweight double-champion Conor McGregor returned to his home country of Ireland to headline UFC Dublin, where he faced Diego Brandao in the main event. With less than a minute remaining in the first round, McGregor put an end to things when he secured the finish, earning himself Performance of the Night honors.
Diego Brandao won a UFC contract, as well as Fight of the Night and Performance of the Night bonuses, at the Ultimate Fighter 14 Finale in 2011 in an entertaining bantamweight final with Dennis Bermudez.
