NEV 60, DAY 63Dayton vs. Virginia Tech: The Virginia Tech Hokies improved to 9-1 with a 77-49 win over Dayton in Cassell Coliseum on Wednesday. Grant Basile got things started for the Hokies with a big first half. The 6'9" grad transfer came out hot with 20 points on 8-10 shooting including 4-6 from three-point range as the Hokies doubled up the Flyers in the 1st, 42-21. Basile finished with 23 points, 8 rebounds and 4 blocked shots in the win. Sean Pedulla took over for Basile in the 2nd half, scoring 12 of his 19 points after the break.
DAY 49, VT 77Dayton vs. NC State: The Wolfpack got their first signature win of the season with a 76-64 win over the Dayton Flyers.NC State used a 17-0 run in the middle of the second half to take control of the game and build a lead they would nor relinquish. Jackal Joiner had a game-high 27 points for the Wolfpack. Jack Clark added 10 points and nine rebounds. Toumani Camara had 19 points and seven rebounds for Dayton.
